This Optimus Prime toy is a lot of fun and a great display piece. Here are the "pros" and "cons" of the figure:

Pros
*Strong likeness to the character in the movie in both modes----which is no easy feat seeing the complex transformation in the movie.
*Peter Cullen, the voice of the original Optimus Prime, has had his voice recorded for this toy. He says, "I am Optimus Prime."
*Combines with Leader Class Jetfire (which I have yet to find).

Cons
*The paint details are a little lacking. A lot of the sculpted detail in the toy goes unnoticed as a result.
*The instructions are not very clear in transforming the toy.
*It would have been nice if the voice chip said something less obvious like, "Autobots, transform and roll out."

Apparently there will be another version of this toy released with a different head and a gun. It would have been nice to have the gun with this release.

Over all, I really like this toy. I am a Transformer collector and I'm not buying very much from the new movie but I do recommend this one.


I have been a Transformers fan for many years now, and all the toys I have collected over the years were alright. My first transformer toy was alright but the best of its time. It didn't do much, but i mean i had a transformer. When i first heard about a movie in production, i would have never expected to see Optimus prime speaking and interacting with humans on the big screen. The CGI was just amazing, and i bought the first transformer from the first movie, but when the ROTF optimus prime toy came out, I could not believe it. I am not a young guy anymore and this is an awesome action figure to have, and it is the most detailed figure i have ever seen. It says for 5 years and up, it should say for like 18 and up. This is not a child's toy, and i am telling u now, do not pass this up, when this is gone, youll regret it, BUY IT NOW!


All I have to say I was disappointed with both movies...given that...the action figures are top. I got this for myself ( I know my husband will swipe it from me b/c he's a fan boy like myself:)

Optimus Prime is just that>he's prime



This toy was purchased for my 5 1/2 year old grandson. The toy is stated to be made for children 5+ years. Although it looks very nice, it is nearly impossible to "transform" the toy which is the purpose of a transformer. My grandson could not transform the toy nor could I. This made it less than practical especially since we could not even return it to the previous figure. Very dissapointing!!


Well, first off let me say, WOW, this figure is awesome! I don't own the previous OP but can definitely tell this one is way better and movie accurate. If you're a fan and collector, you need this one. When transforming he does tend to say "I'm am Optimus Prime" alot but I learned how not to mess with the head. The knives on the arms like to come out but aren't too bothersome. This is a must get!
